I grew up in Flint, Michigan and left long ago. Flint has some of the best Coney Island hotdogs in the world. Detroit is close by and yet make their chili sauce very different. Regardless I thoroughly enjoyed having a couple of coney with everything with a side of waffle fries and a Coke. Reasonably priced and fast service. It appears they have a decent breakfast menu so I'll be back in the morning.

This was near within walking distance of our hotel. Service was quick, friendly. Great selection of American diner food. Seating in booths, regular tables or at the counter. Large restaurant, tv monitors at most seating angles. Breakfast served any time of day.
We had hummus & warm pita slices with kalamata olives (2) and pecorino pepper (1). Our main dishes were french toast and an egg omelet. The omelet came with toast, pancakes or hash but hubby had pancakes. Lots of carbs but all ver delish.
It was my first experience at a National Cooney Island restaurant and i wanted to experience this local favorite. Hubby is from the area. It was clean and decorated "era" specific but did not look old. I liked it and we'll be back. Oh and hubby got a club sandwich to go, it was huge & the only thing that we remembered to take a pic of since we were so hungry!
Tip Mon-Fri special hours dine in - get .99 cent hotdogs - 3 max. -

I'm going to start off by saying this... if there was an option to give this coney 0 stars I so would. My friends and I had Beth for our waitress and she was amazing and gave us super quick service! food was great too, but the place itself was absolutely disgusting. We took a picture in the silly mirror by the entrance and then we sat down at our table to order. After we were done eating we got up to wash our hands and we noticed a rank ass smell. We then looked down and saw in front of the men's bathroom and the silly mirror there was not even a turd, it was diarrhea. Like someone full on took a shit on the floor.

Been here countless times and am just now writing a review ... oops!
This National Coney Island is just like every other Coney you'd expect. Delicious and messy! Inexpensive, too! I typically spend about $15 here on two people.
This place is fairly clean and can get busy late at night or early in the morning, so expect a wait (or at least expect slow service. Sigh.)
The options on the menu are endless, although I typically always get the same thing: Coney minus onions and waffle fries. I prefer Leo's to National, but this location is much closer to home so I come here often. Food is always good! -

Local chain that offers good variety at a good price. We were able to walk to the location from our hotel. My son and I were quickly seated and even though the place was busy late on a Saturday morning we were greeted promptly by our server Jessica.
Waters were brought out quickly. The menu is diner style food and it was served hot and promptly. We both got omelette with hash browns. My Denver omelette was excellent. My son had a country omelette with sausage gravy that he liked as well. My hash browns were slightly burned and his were undercooked which was the only negative. Check came quickly as well. Overall a solid meal for about $7 each.
